A quick snack or a light dessert, Romeu and Juliet is a dish of two simple ingredients that don’t seem to match, similar to the famous Shakespearian protagonists. But together, goiabada (guava paste) and cows’ milk cheese become a sumptuous dish.
- 6 slices cow’s milk cheese, such as Minas cheese, queso fresco, or caña de cabra
- 6 slices Val Alimentos goiabada
Distribute the cheese onto each slice of goiabada. Alternatively, serve the goiabada and cheese separately and allow guests to assemble.
