How to use your France Box?

Start your experience by enjoying fresh crêpes with chestnut spread for an afternoon snack. This food experience was inspired by France’s snack time Le goûter, which happens in the afternoon when children are getting out of school and employee’s experience an afternoon lull.

Afterwards, make some light fare such as crostini made from a baguette and topped with whipped goat cheese and fruit jam from the French island of Corsica in the Mediterranean. You will also make coquettes, or fried dough balls, that are made with crumbled crackers and fresh sea salt, as well as herbs and cheese.

The Culture Guide includes these recipes, along with fun cultural facts so you can experience France and all its wonders at home. This month’s box will transport you to distinct regions in country, which are each known for producing specialties that are uniquely influence by their natural environments – think chestnuts harvested from the forests of Ardèche, to cookies made with rich butter from the northern countryside of Brittany where cows graze, to jam made with fresh fruit that is grown in the sunshine of the south.
