Heirloom Tomato and Tumaca Toast

For a fusion of Mediterranean flavors, make this tomato toast inspired by Italy and Spain. Tart and savory, it’s a perfect starter for any Summer party, but is also simple enough to prep for a juicy bite in mere minutes.

Heirloom Tomato-Tumaca Toast

  • 1 Tbsp. El Navarrico tumaca sauce
  • One ½-inch slice of Italian bread, toasted
  • 1 heirloom tomato, sliced
  • ½ tsp. Oleum Hispania extra-virign olive oil
  • ¼ tsp. balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and pepper
  • ¼ tsp. dried oregano, for garnish
  • Basil, for garnish


Spread the tumaca sauce onto the toast, then arrange the sliced tomatoes over the top. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar and season with salt and pepper. To serve, garnish with oregano and basil.
