Balsamic and Apricot Old-Fashioned

Serves 1 | Time 10 minutes

Bright, sweet, and tart, this unique bourbon cocktail features the balsamic vinegar from the Italy Box and is a surefire hit at your next dinner or cocktail party.

Balsamic Old Fashioned

  • 1 apricot, peeled and cut into quarters
  • ¼ oz. maple syrup
  • 1½ oz. bourbon
  • ½ oz. fresh orange juice
  • 1 Tbsp. Società Agricola Acetomodena Balsamic Vinegar [shopify embed_type=”product” shop=”” product_handle=”balsamic-vinegar-of-modena-nero-black” show=”button-only”]
  • Ice
  • 1 sprig of mint
  • 1 orange slice


  1. In a cocktail shaker, muddle the apricot and maple syrup.
  2. Add the bourbon, orange juice, and balsamic vinegar.
  3. Fill with ice and shake well, then strain into rocks glass.
  4. Garnish with mint and orange slice, and serve.
